About Us

The Sterling Hell Haunted Mine is an annual fundraiser supporting the Ogdensburg graduating eighth-grade class and paying for their yearly class trip to Boston. It is a project run by the eighth-grade class and their families in cooperation with the Sterling Hill Mining Museum, the Wallkill Valley High School theater program, and the support of the local community of living and dead souls.

2024 marks the 7th annual Sterling Hell Haunted Mine event. Legend says this will be the most gut-wrenching, horrifying, and gruesome year yet, with many never-before-seen additions in the hollow depths of our mine. So even if you survived last year's visit, your ability to remain among the living and avoid becoming a permanent fixture at Sterling Hell will be tested like never before!

We have always aimed to keep our prices low and our frights high. Our tours are still less than half the cost of the major haunt attractions, yet we offer a truly unique, spine-chilling experience—something much more real, much more sinister, and much more dark, twisted, and visceral.

The Sterling Hell Haunted Mine takes place within the tunnels of the centuries-old Sterling Hill Mine in Ogdensburg, New Jersey. The mine has been featured in many paranormal TV shows and is host to various paranormal events. This is one of the most haunted places on the East Coast!
